The role of PSHE departments and teachers is very much of promoting awareness of how to support peers who may have experienced bereavement as well as helping youngsters make sense of the inevitable passing of aged relatives or friends.
Winston’s Wish provides a breadth of resources for supportof grieving children and families. They give PSHE teachers a good opportunity to gain an understanding of how bereavement can affect children.
